In the late 1800's, the magic of the waters surrounding Pybus Point was discovered by three pioneering brothers. Homesteading the land, they constructed and operated a very successful salmon cannery. Celebrating their success at a local party one evening, the elder brother (the brains of the operation) was fatally wounded in an unfortunate altercation. As a result, the cannery failed and subsequently was abandoned. Evidence of the operation remains today. Mother Nature has long since reclaimed the old buildings, but much of the impressive machinery still lies quietly in place, eliciting countless untold stories from the ghosts of the past. A hundred years later in 1985, Alan Veys rediscovered the magic of Pybus Point. He envisioned a first-class sport fishing lodge where guests could marvel at the majestic beauty, abundant wildlife, and of course... enjoy the spectacular fishing! Having hosted thousands of happy guests over the last 18 years, Alan's dream has been fully realized. Now it's your turn. Come live the dream... at Pybus Point.
