Depart Pybus Point Lodge

At Pybus Point Lodge, fishing is what we do. Halibut, salmon, rockfish, cod... Alaska has them all, and we know where to find them! You know what it’s like to put in an 8-hour shift at work; now is your chance to know what it’s like to experience eight hours of guided Alaska fishing aboard a custom built fishing boat on the calm Pybus Bay waters.
Your Pybus vacation includes an experienced US-Coast-Guard-certified guide at the helm of a comfortable, customized fishing boat to keep you catching your dream Alaskan fish all day. Our experienced captains are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to maximizing your chance of a dream catch, so kick back and relax while we show you some of the best fishing spots in Alaska.
A real Alaska experience takes you away from crowds and into nature so beautiful it will give you chills. Our boats are designed for our guides to see to your group of 4 – 6 guests, with no cruise ship crowds competing for fish or chasing away whales. In fact, you’ll likely see more whales than people while you’re staying at Pybus Point Lodge.
When you’re ready for a break from the reel, your guide can help you and your family discover hidden waterfalls, glaciers, and other Alaska wonders. We’re here to help you maximize your time exactly the way you wish while staying with us.
For a more peaceful way to explore our corner of Alaska, take to the waters on our kayaks. All skill levels are welcome, and our guided trips are as leisurely or challenging as you like. You may even be able to get closer to some of the wildlife than you would on a loud boat.
For more opportunities, we offer other types of tours as well, including biking, rafting, and even water skiing!
We aren't the only species fishing in Alaska's waters: You'll often find plenty of marine mammals around our lodge. On rocky outcroppings called rookeries, you may find seals or sea lions basking in the summer sun before diving into the deep. You may also see humpback whales and orcas in our waters. While you're likely to see them even during a normal fishing trip, we can help you out if you're not having any luck, so be sure to ask.
Our fishing lodge is also an adventure lodge! There's so much to see in our area, both on the water and in the backcountry. You can:
Alaska is full of wonderful surprises, and we hope you’ll consider taking advantage of these custom excursions and activities while you’re here.

Pybus Point Lodge has always had the best view in Alaska, nestled in Pybus Bay beneath Bear Pass Mountain – a scene so striking you can imagine it on a magazine cover. You can now enjoy our perfect Alaskan location from brand new, comfortable cabins with private bathrooms, balconies, and a thermostat-controlled fireplace in each room.
Spend your evenings reliving the day’s adventures with friends in the common areas, with a billiard table, comfortable couches, and large TV and movie library. New cabins even have access to a kitchen – most often used to keep drinks cold, since our world-class chef stands ready to provide every meal and snack at the lodge.
You don’t even need a guide to experience some of the best parts of Alaska. Take kayaks to explore the islands in our protected bay, where you can watch bald eagles above and seals, jellyfish, sea otters, and whales in the clear water below.
And here’s something our guides hate to admit: Some of our record-breaking halibut have been caught by our guests exploring the bay on their own in one of our lightweight jet-powered skiffs. Take one out to halibut fish, make your way to freshwater salmon fishing, or try to spot bears and other Alaskan wildlife on shore – it’s all included in your Pybus vacation.
We can't wait to see you! Book your dream all-inclusive Alaska resort vacation with us today.

Our executive chef developed his art for years running restaurants in 5-star resorts before partnering with us to create the perfect Alaskan menu: Brilliantly conceived dishes so fresh and delicious you’ll look forward to every meal.
Every meal is included in your trip, so you can leave the details to our staff and enjoy every extra minute fishing and exploring Pybus Bay.

Most guests stay for the regular four-day experience at the lodge, which provides an ideal balance of fishing, sightseeing, and relaxation. This length allows guests to experience multiple fish species, glaciers, waterfalls, wildlife, and Alaska’s wilderness without feeling rushed. But there is really too much to do it all in just one visit. That’s why about 70% of our guests each season are returning guests.
Yes. We do have several guests each season that choose to book two consecutive trips, creating an 8-day Alaska lodge vacation. Longer stays are perfect for guests who want more fishing variety, more self-guided skiff time, or a slower, more immersive Alaska experience. However most of our guests prefer to just rebook for a future stay so they can see/experience different times of the Alaskan summer.
Nope! All fishing, sightseeing, glaciers, fjords, waterfalls, wildlife, hot springs, etc. are included as part of your guided trip.
