One of the many reasons people love to come to Alaska for fishing trips and vacations is the wide variety of fish species that you can find here.
book nowThe Northern Region of the Alaska Inside Passage, where Pybus Point Lodge is located, has some of the best fishing in the world for a variety of species, including:
· Halibut
· Rockfish
· Pacific Cod
· Ling Cod
· King/Chinook salmon
· Pink/Humpy salmon
· Keta/Chum/Dog salmon
· Silver/Coho salmon
The best time to catch saltwater fish in Alaska is between June and September. The Halibut, Rock fish and Cod are always available during those months, and the specific timing of your trip will often determine what species of salmon are most plentiful during your visit. You can also find a variety of freshwater fish species in the local rivers and streams, such as salmon and trout, and our guides can take you to the best fishing spots in the area or to secluded fly-in lakes for some of the most remote fishing excursions in Alaska (additional charges apply for fly-in fishing adventures).
During the entire Alaskan fishing season our experienced guides are here to help you find the best fishing spots on the ocean, in the bay near the lodge, and in rivers and lakes in and around Admiralty Island and the Tongass National Forest. After each fishing adventure we will then professionally prepare all your fish for transport home by cleaning, vacuum sealing, freezing and packing them in insulated boxes for your journey home.
