Our skiffs are available for unlimited use by guests to go out and explore the local bay, do some more fishing in the evenings near the resort after your guided trip is over for the day, or just head out to look for wildlife.
The Lodge is located on the lower end of Admiralty Island overlooking Pybus Bay, which is part of the Northern Region of the famous Alaska Inside Passage. Shaped over millions of years by the powerful force of glaciers, you’ll be able to see local fjords with lush landscapes and amazing wildlife. The island and the nearby waters is the habitat for some of the most incredible species, including brown bears, bald eagles, sea lions, otters, humpback whales, and orca (killer whales) that are often visible from the boats.
Every skiff adventure is included as part of your stay with us at Pybus Point Lodge, so you can plan some explorations in between your fishing trips to make sure you get a chance to see all the marvelous wildlife and beautiful natural surroundings of the area. We’ll show you how to use the skiffs and provide all the necessary safety gear to ensure a fun-filled adventure whenever you want to take it.
